Job Overview:

Overview of the CRM Team:
The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing team is responsible for driving global omnichannel sales via the owned retention marketing channels such as direct mail, email, site, mobile (sms/push) by planning communications cadence, determining and optimizing targeting, segmentation, and execution of marketing communication and offers to Macy’s consumers.

Overview of Position:
The successful candidate will assist in creating and managing direct mail campaigns, assist in developing strategies to foster, increase and maintain customer engagement and help in optimizing business processes to maximize efficiencies. The candidate will be detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, able to take direction, capable of dealing with ambiguity, and comfortable working with teams, vendors, and management.

Essential Functions:

• Set up and QA customer segments, filters, and complex campaign-flows for direct mail campaigns in advanced CRM tools.
• Work with team members to interpret customer business-rules into filter segments to ensure accurate advanced list segmentation.
• Set up and QA campaign metadata for accurate campaign reporting.
• Partner with CRM team members to optimize campaign execution process, problem solving executional issues and mishaps in list segmentation logic.
• Assist in developing data-driven segmentation approach to achieve campaign goals, working with cross-functional business partners
• Assist in providing campaign response metrics, post-performance insights, and customer response KPIs to marketing strategy partners.
• Assist in optimizing business execution processes as necessary, while troubleshooting and communicating CRM tool issues with Marketing Systems team.
• Communicate with internal business partners and 3rd party vendors to manage status on daily campaign operations.
• Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• BA/BS college degree is required; concentration in Marketing a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in direct marketing, CRM campaign set up experience a plus
• Understanding of direct marketing, segmentation and analytic methods.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to properly understand complex customer filers using logical and/any/all/or statements

Other Skills:

• Must have demonstrable computer skills and aptitude for technology, including proficiency with Microsoft Office software, HTML and database applications.
• High attention to detail, ensuring high quality campaign execution assurance.
• Quick at learning new software tools
• Familiarity with data types and metadata.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a cross-functional, team-based environment.
