Rice Warehouse

Job Description:

Dryer

• Do facility repairs as directed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment (make sure all tools are safely put back where they belong).
• Learn the security guidelines and diligently follow them.
• Follow safety guidelines and fill out paperwork for safety compliance
• Work with On-Site Safety to quickly clear things related to keeping a safe work place.
• Return tools in their proper place after use
• Fumigate as needed.
• Work overtime as required
• Work weekends as required
• All other duties as requested at the dryer or elsewhere.
• As needed will work for farming / duck club operations.

Harvest

• Assist in moving rice
• Clean up after all repairs and be sure all tools are put back in proper place
• Monitor rice temperature
• Shovel rice in bins to level bins
• Open and close gates manually on spout to control rice flow
• Important to watch for and remove safely any foreign materials i.e. trash, glass,metal, plastic etc. out of the rice.
• All other duties as requested at the dryer or elsewhere.

Maintenance & Repair

• Servicing and/or replacing gear boxes
• Greasing or changing bearings, belts, patching and/or repairing air ducting or spouting
• Replacing conveyor belts
• Replacing belts and buckets in elevator(s)
• Modifying and/or installing new equipment
• General maintenance of buildings and warehouse, repairing and re-screening air tunnels within Quonset
• Inspection and repair of industrial equipment
• Any other repairs and or maintenance requested by supervisor or manager provided they have sufficient knowledge and training to perform the requested work
• Any other duties that may be assigned by supervisor

Continuing Education

• Attend all meetings relating to job as requested by management
