A successful Scrum Master will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years direct work experience in an IT Management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience leading Agile Scrum teams.
  • 2 years of experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Desire and ability to work within a highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience training teams and large groups is a plus.
  • Expertise with agile engineering practices such as Continuous. Integration, Automated Testing, Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming is a plus.
  • Requires proven experience in project management, change management, status reporting and issue/risk management.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Possesses the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments.

As a member of our PMO - as a Scrum Master - you will help deliver innovative and inspiring solutions for our diverse client base. Working with us means you’ll lead high performing teams on a variety of software development projects, apply your broad-base technical, client-facing and industry expertise to create practical, innovative solutions.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • You will take responsibility for both strategic and tactical management of assigned projects and ensure projects are delivered to scope, schedule and of the highest quality standards.
  • You will bring skills and expertise on tools and techniques to help the team absorb scrum practices, principles, values and roles.
  • You will be responsible to guide and coach both your teams and the organization on scrum practices (guard and support the scrum process).
  • Be a leader and facilitator of team meetings, team decision-making and team maturity.
  • You are expected to work with cross functional team members of Operations, Product, Development, and QA.
  • Working with this team means you will protect the team from interruptions and maintain focus on defined deliverable and client committed deadlines.
  • Will act as Scrum Master to at least 2 potentially 3 different development teams.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Actively engages in driving strategic initiatives, and the related goals, to ensure the most optimal outcome.
  • Communication: Effectively communicates using written, oral, non-verbal and active listening skills.
  • Has the ability to clearly present an idea or concept so others understand, lets others share productive ideas and engages productively in difficult conversations while upholding our company values and vision.
  • Tactical Projects: Actively leads the team to deliver client committed deadlines.
