Business Intelligence Architect (Contract) - Full-time / Part-time

The BI Architect plays a critical role in making sure our enterprise data and analytics strategy is envisioned, designed, developed and implemented across the enterprise to support our strategic business goals. He/she brings extreme passion and advocacy to building a culture of data driven decision making through outstanding information management solutions. The BI Architect must be able to think holistically across the organization. The BI Architect is expected to understand current and future reporting and warehousing technologies in order to architect forward-looking solutions.

Responsibilities

In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Oversee and support the design, development, and implementation of data warehousing and data management that supports Chipotle’s reporting and analytic needs

•Provide leadership, oversight, and development execution of DB/DW design, data models, ETL solutions, OLAP cubes

•Offer guidance on applying best practices through the development lifecycle

•Provide training and coaching to other team members on BI/data management standards and best practices

•Responsible for high level design, development, documentation, and testing of solutions

•Documentation of source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and database design

The ideal candidate will:

•Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or related discipline, or an equivalent in education and experience.

•Possess extreme passion for using data to uncover insights and drive business performance.

•5+ years of hands on data warehouse design, development, and data modeling (physical and logical) best practices.

•5+ years in-depth, hands-on knowledge and execution of foundational data architectures such as data warehouses, data modeling, data mining, ETL, and in-memory models, as well as experience in data stores that support data science.

•3+ years of hands on experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and BI Stack, including TSQL, SSIS, SSAS, and creation/automation of enterprise scale dashboards, operational reports, scorecards, and ad-hoc reports to provide key business insights for entire organization.

•Have prior experience with Master Data Management.

•Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical terms.

•Possess a strong foundation in data analytics.

•A strong commitment to data governance and security.

•Have attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality/rigor in solutions.

•Possess the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and systematically.

•Have the ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team, perform effectively and demonstrated willingness to support the team on all levels to get the job done.

•Restaurant industry experience a plus.
