About this job
The IT Business Analyst is responsible for .NET business analysis that falls under the IT Development group. Includes determining service request/project scope and objectives; documenting and communicating requirements; and coordinating projects among end users, internal departments, and the IT Development team.
In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Gathering formal requirements of service request made to IT Development group
• Formulating and defining scope and objectives of service requests
• Collaborating with Developers and IT Development Manager to establish technical approach and end user’s needs
• Working closely with the IT Project Consultant to communicate scope of service request, timing, assign responsibilities, etc.
• Documenting requirements specifications using a standard template and communicating these to the IT Development team
• Tracking service requests and using the Team Foundation server
• Serving as liaison between end users, internal departments, IT, and support teams to coordinate, communicate, and follow up on service requests
The ideal candidate will:
• Have knowledge of and the ability to use a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio and Project software
• Be able to work effectively with colleagues and subordinates
• Possess the ability to listen effectively and communicate with candor and honesty
• Have strong analytical and project management skills and a strong understanding of how to interpret business needs
• Have the ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently
• Be able to acquire and evaluate data
• Possess the ability to multi-task and manage projects
• Have the ability to create and maintain documents and document libraries
• Be able to gather project requirements and understand project objectives, as well as the roles and functions of project team members
• Have three (3) to five (5) years experience with systems and/or application maintenance
• Possess five (5) years experience with IT process, project management, or have other related experience
• Enjoy minimal travel
