The Lead Car Installer is responsible for the operations of the Autotech Bay under the direction of the Deputy of Counter Intelligence (DCI) within the store guidelines and procedures. They contribute to the delivery of an ideal customer experience by assisting the DCI in the recruiting, training, scheduling and retention of car installers. They are brand ambassadors for both the Geek Squad and Best Buy brands, ensuring customers? end-to-end needs are met and that no customer is ever left unserved or underserved. They must also hold and maintain a basic level of MECP certification prior to working in an Autotech bay.

80% of your time you will:

• Install mobile electronic components according to store guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure all agents and car installers have the knowledge and skills they need through continuous learning and self development.
• Engage customers using selling skills to build solutions based on their needs and best business results.

20% of your time you will:

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Engage with sales team, explaining services and technology to help them achieve business group goals.
• Perform administrative functions for the Autotech Bay including managing client communication.

What are the Professional Requirements of a Geek Squad Autotech Lead Car Installer with Basic MECP Certification?
Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Achieve and maintain MECP Basic Certification
• Valid driver?s license
• 1 year job related experience (including 6 months professional experience)

• Retail experience
• 1 year supervisory or leadership experience
• Soldering experience
• Prior experience with installing mobile electronics
