Job Overview:

Pro-actively identify organized retail crime (ORC) activity and investigate accordingly within an assigned geographical area. Execute strategies to reduce organized retail criminal activity against Macy's. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
  • Leads, manages and coordinates investigations into Organized Criminal Activity
  • Communicates active ORC investigations and provides follow-ups to Direct Supervisor.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies
  • To collect, analyze and monitor intelligence through networking with state and local associations as well as computer based programs and skills.
  • Develops investigative leads by identifying criminal trends and patterns

  • Provides intelligence support and develops customized reporting for SIU management.
  • Identifies and develops strategies to reduce criminal activity.
  • Articulates confidential investigative information to appropriate management.
  • Effectively educates and communicates criminal trends causing loss to our stores.
  • Conducts training on ORC issues when necessary.
  • Maintains a communication network that allows the flow of investigative information pertaining to e- Commerce fencing of stolen goods.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Prior experience in both AP and SIU management preferred

Communication Skills
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills
  • Mathematical Skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reasoning Ability
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to transfer statistical information and large amounts of data into clear and concise reports

Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands that include walking, standing, hearing, and talking. May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Other Skills
  • Strong leadership profile and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with flexibility to meet challenging priorities
  • Good understanding of computer programs and skills

Work Hours
  • Work Hours that require a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
  • Ability to travel overnight to various regions nationwide.
