Mountain Safety Lead - Winter Seasonal, Full Time, Beaver Creek Mountain 

The Mountain Safety Lead is responsible for the Beaver Creek Mountain Safety programs for our employees, our guests and our community. This includes being responsible for the supervision of the mountain safety staff, all daily operations, guest communications and programs such as National Safety Awareness Week.  This person is responsible for the implementation and follow up of safety initiatives including tracking all of the season’s safety violations and pass infractions. 

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Help manage all Mountain Safety Programs and Initiatives and communication of these programs internally and externally
  • Lead by example with Guest Contacts, enforcement and daily enforcement/contact tracking
  • Provide Exceptional Guest Service on Beaver Creek Mountain and have employees do the same by greeting the guest, determining needs and going above and beyond to deliver
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling and payroll of Mountain Safety employees
  • Help oversee the daily operations of Mountain Safety
  • Train all employees to foster an injury free work place - manage workers compensation
  • Organize, produce and deliver on-mountain tour speeches and community outreach program

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required, College degree - preferred.
  • Previous Beaver Creek Mountain work experience - required.
  • Ski Area supervisory experience - preferred.
  • Word, Excel, People Soft, Success factors skills - preferred.
  • Fluent in English - required.
  • Ability to have difficult conversations
  • 3-5 years on mountain ski area experience - required.
