This position is a Team Lead that will be a mix of supervising and serving.  The Team Lead will act as the opening Supervisor 4 days a week from 10am to 2pm and then will serve après ski from 2:30pm to 5pm.  A full day serving lunch/après ski will also be available. The Team Lead will work with the Assistant Manager and Supervisor of The Farm to ensure there is adequate coverage for days they take off and cover each other at night. Together they will ensure that staff and the restaurant environments are meeting/exceeding the expectations of the Vail Brand Standards, as well as meeting/exceeding the goals measuring guest satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Accurately conduct daily reports and audits
  • Responsible for checking reservation requests in morning, setting up server stations and general daily supervision of front of house staff until Manager arrives at 2pm.
  • Hold and document daily pre-shift meetings
  • Investigates and resolves guest complaints
  • Assist with training of front of house food & beverage service personnel
  • Know and enforce local, state and federal regulations for the sale and distribution of alcohol

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, lift and carry heavy objects.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma together with minimum 2 years previous experience, or a combination of education and experience from which a comparable amount of knowledge is acquired.
  • Broad, basic knowledge and skills related to restaurant operations, including experience in ordering, inventory control, staff scheduling, cash reports and similar administrative or management functions.
  • Good administrative, math and supervisory skills. Some previous supervisory and budget administration experience.
  • Experience working with a variety of commercial food service equipment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers and other Company personnel.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Exceptional wine, sprits and beer knowledge.  Adequate understanding of UDABC laws and private club management.
  • Food handlers and beverage service permits.
