Skills, Experience, and Requirements:

 

A successful Operations Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact cross-functionally with various levels of employees and management 
  • Must be able to learn and apply knowledge of commonly used applications as appropriate within the department
  • Strong math and analytical skills to handle a wide variety of customer, partner, and internal requests
  • Ability to think logically and be able to analyze different parts of the problem at the same time and solve a variety of different business problems.  A strong attention to detail is also critical

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Operations Analyst within the Commercial Operations Department will develop and analyze current processes and procedures that improve operational or sales efficiencies within and between departments. To be successful within the roles of operations analyst, a candidate must have strong math, analytical and communication skills.  Operations analyst must have the ability to think logically and be able to analyze different parts of the problem at the same time and solve a variety of different business problems.  A strong attention to detail is also critical.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Consistently provide a high level of customer service and professionalism to a variety of partners and customers in complex and demanding situations
  • Process multiple types of requests daily, ranging from activations, change requests, disconnects, transfers, equipment ordering, and billing disputes
  • Use a multitude of system types daily to process requests, ranging from CSG, Salesforce, Siebel, Oracle, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Resolve disputes and effectively work within a team atmosphere to handle urgent requests and potential escalations
  • Research, identify, and leverage best practices to identify Commercial sales and operational improvements
