Skills, Experience, and Requirements:

A successful Business Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two years related sales experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, MBA preferred
  • Experience in strategic planning, sales process development and performance management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers with large commercial or enterprise customers.

  • Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff across the DISH organization.
  • Competencies include presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Position requires computer expertise, including use of internet, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
  • Must be flexible, innovative and have the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
  • Travel requirements are up to 50%

Department Summary:

DISH Network's Commercial Sales Channel drives all sales outside of the single family, residential environment.  This includes: restaurants, bars, waiting areas, gyms, offices, retail spaces, hotels/motels, multiple dwelling units, hospitals, senior living facilities, and other Commercial environments.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst is responsible providing detailed insight into targeted vertical markets to be used by the Commercial Management team in defining Sales, Marketing and Product strategies to increase revenue.  Individuals in this role will develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the targeted vertical markets, including competitive landscape, market trends and opportunities, key decision makers and product/service needs.  Utilizing this knowledge they will assist in developing and implementing strategic plans to maximize revenue, channel growth and market share. 

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of customer product/service needs, buying behaviors, trends and opportunities for improved performance.  
  • Provide ongoing analysis of existing and emerging market competitors to current and developing service and technology solutions within defined vertical markets.
  • Coordinate with the internal stakeholders including Marketing, Product Development and Sales Channels to identify sales opportunities and develop innovative sales strategies to drive profitable growth.
  • Manage, analyze and provide regular reporting on sales metrics to determine success and areas of improvement. Performance metrics include but are not limited to: market share, sales, retention, revenue, ROI, and NPV.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at Fortune 1,000 companies and large ownership/management groups in identified target markets
  • Develop commercial partnership programs to enhance DISH business relationships and generate leads for the Commercial Sales team.
  • Identify key partners/endorsements/customers in specified verticals and pursuit of relationships with those opportunities. Develop and maintain “advisory council” to provide regular feedback.
