Senior Corporate Counsel - Full-time

A successful Corporate Counsel - Sling TV will have the following:

• Admitted to practice law in at least one state
• A J.D. from an accredited law school with a law school class rank in at least the top 25% preferred; and/or 5-7 years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Meaningful experience with the legal issues associated with one or more of the following: mobile devices, software/hardware licensing or development, consumer technology, app publishing, or video content licensing
• Excellent communications, project management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills with a passion for the in-house practice of law
• A desire to work closely with our business teams on rolling out new technology, negotiating deals, and complying with content licensing agreements
• Energy, resourcefulness, and a demonstrated desire to achieve

We are seeking a Corporate Counsel or Senior Corporate Counsel for Sling TV, a leading OTT (i.e., internet-delivered) multichannel live television business.  This position requires 3-7 years of full-time contract drafting experience with a large national or regional law firm or leading corporation. All candidates must be eager to learn and demonstrate energy and a need for achievement. The successful candidate will have experience negotiating and drafting complex technology and commercial deals, including experience as a lead transactional attorney.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of technology and commercial agreements
• Counseling the business on commercial legal issues as they arise
• Updating Sling’s end user agreements as needed
• Working closely with our business teams to accomplish strategic objectives
• Assisting with other responsibilities as needed
