JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serves as the principal non-academic officer responsible for all of the school's administrative operations, financial services, human resource administration, and business activities. Provides overall administrative, financial, and strategic direction for the total budgetary and fiscal affairs of the school; inclusive of planning, administering, monitoring, and controlling the overall financial plans, policies, and programs. Directs school-wide progressive planning and response to demands, costs, services, technology, regulations, and fiscal interests throughout the school while protecting school assets and ensuring its fiscal viability. Supports the Woodruff Health Sciences Center's missions of education, research, and patient care. Oversees annual operating expenditure base for the school, including annual sponsored research funded expenditures. Has administrative, support, and business responsibilities in all non-academic areas in which the Dean has responsibilities. Has accountability and responsibility for successfully developing, promoting, implementing, and achieving the School of Nursing's administrative, business, and fiscal missions and goals. Key responsibilities include: strategic/operational planning, business program development, tuition analysis, space planning and facilities management, human resources, and financial management including budgeting, developing and maintaining performance measures, resource allocation methods, information systems, and management reporting and communications infrastructure. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, healthcare administration or a related field. Ten years experience in financial administration in university, healthcare, or nursing education, both operational and fiscal to include prior P&L responsibilities. Master's degree preferred. Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, fiscal policy formation, and managing resource allocation processes, including documented results.
