Sitter - PRN - Full-time / Part-time

Under the supervision of a nurse, the Sitter assists with monitoring the patient and assuring patient safety needs are met. Communicates effectively any patient safety concerns to the patient care nurse or charge nurse. Responsible for ensuring safety of patient that they are assigned to sit with and communicating needs with the assigned nurse while continually assuring the patient's dignity, privacy and rights with respect to the age of the patient. Provides excellent customer servie to the patient, family members, staff, and physicians. Performs other nondirect patient care duties as directed by supervisory staff. Education: High School graduate or GED with reading and writing.

Experience: At least 6 months of working in a hospital or other healthcare environment.

Licenses/Certificates: American Heart Association BLS required; License or Certification in Healthcare-Related field preferred.
