Operates vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership. May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.

Essential Duties:

o Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities.
o Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed.
o Maintains records of pickup and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts.
o Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA and company policy.
o Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties.
o May need to maintain assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition.
o May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required.
o Perform other duties as assigned.

Snohomish location is Part-Time & Mount Vernon is Full-Time.
*Benefit eligibility requires full-time status.

Requirements

Job Requirements
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

o High School diploma or equivalent experience.
o Hold a valid driver's license.
o Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
o 1+ years' experience as local delivery driver.
o Ability to drive equipment and vehicles with manual transmission.
o Ability to use company computer systems and achieve a basic to intermediate computer functions.
o Must maintain a driving records remains insurable under the corporate auto policy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Effort: Drivers often require them to work in tiring, awkward, and uncomfortable positions. They frequently sit for long periods of time, and may bend, stoop, crawl under vehicles, and load and unload cargo. They frequently lift, handle, and carry parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted. Regularly, they move moderately heavy items with assistance or with mechanical devices, including objects weighing up to or over 75 pounds.

* Due to nature of the position, this position will not allow those taking medications that could impair driving to work within 4 hours of taking medication. It is the employee's responsibility to notify management or Human Resources of the impairment. This may result in a reduction of paid work hours.

Working Conditions: Mostly Driving Truck. Position interfaces with various Retail store environments, service and repair shops, and stock rooms. Exposed to various work surfaces both inside and outside. The work is usually performed outside on uneven surfaces where there is exposure to loose gravel, concrete, noise, and fumes from vehicles. Drivers regularly perform work outside under adverse weather conditions. They are continually exposed to dirt, dust, and grease, and to the potential for burns, chemical irritations, bruises, cuts, and strains. To reduce dangers and irritations from these conditions, they follow prescribed safety practices and use safety equipment such as adhering to proper lifting techniques, being aware of surroundings at all time and the use of PPE such as safety shoes and glasses, and respirators.
