Job Summary

Works with leadership to define marketing strategies and build effective marketing plans, communications tools and campaigns for the company. Manages the promotion and direction of the marketing activities, improvement of company's image, market data, and information.

Duties and responsibilities

 

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manages all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department;
  • Develop concepts, including copy and content, for use in various internal and external marketing materials – brochures, mailers, email campaigns, presentations, newsletters, websites, advertising, press releases and articles for industry publications.
  • Utilize primary and secondary research to incorporate customer and consumer insights into marketing materials, messages and strategies.
  • Coordinates marketing campaigns with sales events;
  • Oversees the company’s marketing budget;
  • Responsible for the creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans;
  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of promotional campaigns;
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and company identity;
  • Monitors and reports on effectiveness of marketing campaigns;
  • Works closely with graphical design and assists with new product launches;
  • Maintains effective internal communication to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives;
  • Build strategic relationships and partners with key industry players, agencies and vendors;
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed;

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related discipline; and 2-3 years related experience in a corporate marketing communications role.

  • Must possess an understanding of strategic marketing concepts and communications planning
  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing and communications plans to launch or promote products and services
  • Expert written and verbal communications skills in print and digital media
  • Demonstrated ability to guide key projects with product/service managers, designers, other writers, and other project team members
  • Strong understanding of the creative process, print production and distribution
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present and promote concepts to others 
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and editing tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of internal contact management/database programs, business management software, website content management systems, electronic project management tools
