Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced photographer with a strong still life portfolio for our Cheshire CT photo studio. Taking direction from Art Directors and our in-house planning team, this position will work directly with studio stylists to execute the photography needs of the ecommerce studio. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, high volume studio, have excellent attention to detail, and be eager to bring product to life through elevated photography. Still Life portfolio that includes both soft and hard goods and demonstrates your skill level and technical abilities is a must. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Light, photograph, crop and process a wide range of products according to Bloomingdale’s standards and directives
• Work closely with Stylists, Art Directors and production/planning to execute shots and react to changing priorities
• Maintain proper file/asset management
• Image review, markup (including detailed retouching notes) & uploads
• Preparation and build-out of sets
• Work closely with stylist and provide feedback as needed
• Partner with ADs to ensure a consistency amongst product shots and alert team of any discrepancies
• Share responsibility for proper care, upkeep and maintenance of the photo studio workspace, equipment & supplies
• Basic tabletop styling (unassisted) a plus
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years as a Still Life/Product Photographer in an ecomm studio environment, luxury a plus
• Proficient with Canon 5DMK III Cameras
• Proficient with Studio Lighting including Profoto packs & heads
• Proficient with Mac OS, Capture One Pro, Photoshop & Bridge
• Proficiency in digital studio photography workflows & asset management.

Reasoning Ability:

• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to both give and take direction, make decisions and efficiently prioritize workloads within in a fast-paced, high volume environment.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift/move heavy photography equipment

Other Skills:

• Keen eye for detail and knowledge of studio processes.
• Bring experience in still life photography as well as a positive energy to the studio team.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
