Our Global Supply Chain division is hiring a Continuous Improvement Senior Program Manager. As a member of the Schwan's Continuous Improvement Corporate Team, this positionis responsiblefor thedevelopmentandimplementationoftheLeanmanufacturing / Six Sigmaprograms in differentparts ofthesupplychain. This will be done througheffective leadershipandworkingrelationshipswith businessleaders, functionalchangeagents,andall applicablefunctionaldepartmentpersonnel. Acting as the Lean/SixSigmasubject matterexpert (SME),this positionprovidesknowledge,coachingandtraining onLean/SixSigmarelated techniques, systemsandbehaviors andwill bein charge oftheLean/ SixSigmarelatedinitiatives as dictatedbytheContinuous ImprovementStrategy, suchas Leanbasics,VSA,Leantraining and certificationprogram, DMAIC process,etc.

  • The Continuous Improvement Program Mgr works in collaboration with all manufacturing plants supporting waste reduction, process improvement, and cost reduction initiatives to drive rapid results delivering the highest levels of performance.
  • Serves as the Corporate CI subject matter expert for Six Sigma tools and methodologies with the ability to deliver training and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develops and implements the Six Sigma manufacturing program providing ongoing follow-up and support to all manufacturing plants.
  • Coaches and mentors on Six Sigma principles and responsible for Six Sigma best practice sharing across the plants.
  • Identifies waste and process improvement opportunities, executes against those opportunities, and successfully realizes quantifiable benefits.
  • Develops & maintains strong positive business relationships with key internal clients to clearly understand their business processes and the development/articulation of short & long term business objectives.
  • Defines the business case for projects that have been proposed and validates the opportunity scope and importance of a project.
  • Ensures identified projects align with business goals and that highest priority projects are worked on first.
  • Build, mobilize, and lead cross departmental project teams to meet the project objectives within the given time frame and within budget.
  • Update and maintain the status of projects in the project database.
  • Facilitates meetings kaizen events / Six Sigma DMAIC projects and workshops to solve urgent business needs.
  • Gathers, collects, organizes, prioritizes, and conducts statistical analysis and presents data concerning business and/or project opportunities.
  • Teaches, mentors, and coaches Green Belts on how to apply the appropriate Six Sigma roadmap and tools to a range of improvement projects.
  • Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in a relevant business discipline)

Years of Related Experience: 5-10 years of related experience as part of a CI corporate team preferred. Six Sigma expert (Master Black Belt) with at least 5 years of commercial/supply chain/continuous improvement experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Six Sigma to apply concepts and principles across the business.
  • Ability to effectively influence and motivate others and work effectively with all levels of people inside and outside of the organization.
  • Must possess strong project management quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Software applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Minitab, SAP, MS Project, etc.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills with solid oral and written communication capabilities.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to act independently and prioritize work.
  • Ability to travel ~ 30% of time
