What is my job:

Consumer Affairs represents “the voice of the customer” at Wegmans and is an umbrella for a number of different functions including community relations, nutrition and labeling, quality assurance, food safety and consumer services.

How do I make a difference as a Quality Assurance Team Member?

• Work hands-on with the QA team to ensure all products leaving the facility meet Wegmans high standards of food safety and quality. You will perform a variety of tests on both new and existing products and packaging to ensure stores receive the best products for our customers.
• Must be a college student majoring in Biology, Chemistry or related science discipline with at least one year of coursework complete.

• College Student in a Bachelor’s, Associate's degree or 2+2 program majoring in Biology, Chemistry or related science discipline with at least one year of coursework completed
• Customer Service Experience
• High attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with databases

Work environment:

• Works involves continuous interaction with co-workers in fast-paced environment
• Work includes sitting for prolonged periods, along with repetitive hand and arm movements
• Work requires frequent use of the telephone and computer
• Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 1 – 5 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 10 pounds occasionally
