About this job
Our client is noted as a well established steel company located in Chicago Heights, Illinois, and is seeking outstanding people to join their team. Seeking a Band Saw Operator, with solid work history, and extensive experience.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and measure workpieces to mark for cuts and to verify the accuracy of cuts, using rulers
Set up, and operate band saws.
Monitor sawing machines, adjusting speed and tension to ensure proper operation
Temp to Hire opportunity
2nd shift and 3rd shift available Weekly Pay - 401K - Health Insurance - Referral Bonus
Pay rate is $11-13 per hour depending on skill set
Job Requirements:
A minimum of 1-2 years experience as a band saw operator
Excellent accuracy when cutting, with zero errors
Must have excellent measuring skills (will be tested)
Attentive to detail is important
Ability to Lift/Bend/Walk/Stand for long periods of time
Understand the value of Safety
Ability to Lift/Bend/Walk/Stand for long periods of time
