Job Scope
The Systems Engineer III (Mystro Back Office-MBO) is responsible for leading initial deployment efforts on the MBO, including performing upgrades, improving our virtualized platform, applying and/or supporting patches and working closely with our vendor partners. This position requires an experienced Senior Engineer with an extensive background working with the Mystro Back Office (MBO) and all of its applications, including: VOD, RTA (Start Over and Look Back), Dynamic Ad Insertion, Caller ID on TV, Voice Zone, Remote DVR, VOD Portal, Advanced Search, among others.
Basic Qualifications
The Systems Engineer III (Mystro Back Office-MBO) is responsible for leading initial deployment efforts on the MBO, including performing upgrades, improving our virtualized platform, applying and/or supporting patches and working closely with our vendor partners. This position requires an experienced Senior Engineer with an extensive background working with the Mystro Back Office (MBO) and all of its applications, including: VOD, RTA (Start Over and Look Back), Dynamic Ad Insertion, Caller ID on TV, Voice Zone, Remote DVR, VOD Portal, Advanced Search, among others.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Systems Engineering experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using tools for deploying software
- Minimum of 1 years of experience driving new systems implementation
- Must be willing to provide product support after hours and on weekends
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and experience
- Experience working with the following technologies;, Linux, RedHat, Windows OS, PERL, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, IP networking protocols, HP & Dell hardware, VMware/VSphere/ESX/ESXi platforms, Solarwinds and other NOC tools, Splunk, IBM Netcool (ITVM)and working within Ethernet, IP and/or SONET based networks
- Experience using dynamic scripting languages; Python, Ruby, Groovy
- Experience working with Cisco DNCS or Motorola DAC digital video controller systems, along with associated technologies required for delivery of video
- Experience with hands on operations support, performing video devices or systems upgrades, and break/fix activities
- Experience with Code Deployments
- Experience working within Telecommunications industry
- RedHat Certified Administrator/Engineer
