Finance Director

The Village of Silverton (4,788) is accepting resumes for the position of part-time (27 hours/week) finance director. This is an ideal position for a financial professional seeking flexible work. The hourly rate of pay is not to exceed $37.28/hour, DOQ. Duties of the position include performing a variety of complex, professional, administrative and technical accounting and finance functions in maintaining the fiscal records and systems of the Village. The finance director works under the general supervision of the Village Manager and does not supervise employees. Minimum qualifications include: a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a closely related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible finance work. Also required is knowledge of: internal control procedures and management information systems; fiscal planning, payroll and accounts payable functions; and budgetary, accounting, tax and reporting systems.
