Development Director 32 hours per week Florence, MA   Tapestry is committed to providing high quality, compassionate and community-based care to everyone in our region, including the most vulnerable. We are passionate about providing non-judgmental sexual and reproductive healthcare, syringe access and disposal, overdose prevention and education, HIV support and prevention, and WIC family nutrition.   Under the direction of the CEO, the Development Director is responsible for all Tapestry fundraising initiatives and He/she is directly responsible for the development and implementation of the annual giving plan including cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing donors and supporters, developing and building a Major Gifts Program, researching and writing some grants, and online giving events. The Director is also responsible for coordinating with the Communications Director on Tapestry's annual Dim Sum Brunch and other events and for supporting third party fundraising initiatives. As a member of the senior management team, the Development Director participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving and may act as agency spokesperson in some contexts. He/she works within the guidelines, policies and mission of the organization and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned.   Essential duties Fundraising Develop and implement the annual giving program, writing and managing annual appeals; develop fundraising materials, including annual report; manage online giving Develop and implement social media strategies in conjunction with the Communication Director, including online giving days, to drive online giving and improve donor stewardship on Tapestry's social media sites. Develop and implement major donor strategies to actively engage and steward major donors both personally and in conjunction with the Board and the CEO through calls and visits. Corporate and Foundation Fundraising Maintain and grow bank and business partnerships, including sponsors for annual Dim Sum Brunch fundraising event Support the CEO in applying for grants for operating/capacity building Support Board outreach to small businesses (giving days, point of sale donations, etc.) Events Execute fundraising strategy for annual Dim Sum Brunch by soliciting individual and business sponsorships. Arrange all sponsor benefits and acknowledgments, oversee event registration, and support Communications Director with event planning and day-of-event execution. Develop and execute fundraising event in Berkshire County and other events as needed and as resources allow. Help arrange staff participation in and cross-promotion of community based third-party fundraising events. Leadership Help create a culture of philanthropy: work with board members, leadership team, program managers and Communication Director to create consistent fundraising messaging for Tapestry and to empower program staff to appropriately spread the word about Tapestry's mission and funding needs. Join the CEO and program staff as a spokesperson for Tapestry-represent Tapestry in the press and at community events. Admin Oversee the work of the Development Associate around gift processing and acknowledgment, database management, mailings, event registration, community relations, etc. Work with Development Associate to prepare monthly and quarterly fundraising supports for Board and Committees. Monitor and evaluate all fundraising activities to ensure that the fundraising goals are being achieved.
