This position is responsible for enhancing the customer experience, developing customer relationships and driving profitable Home Appliance (HA) sales by providing proactive support to customers and associates, assisting Store Manager with the scheduling, coaching, training, supervising and selecting of the HA consultative selling associates as directed, as well as maintaining a personal contribution to the HA department’s sales and profit goals.

Job Duties:

  • Performs HA consultative selling associate job duties
  • Supports the Store Manager in developing a high performance team by assisting in the scheduling, training, coaching and supervising of consultative selling associates as directed, with a focus on building the skills required to sell total solutions, resolve customer
  • Leads by example by interacting with customers to discover their needs and then selling products and services that provide customers with complete solutions
  • Reviews the Associate performance daily and assists the Store Manager in identifying opportunities for performance improvement at a department and associate level
  • Observes consultative selling associates’ interactions with customers to help identify areas in which the associates would benefit from training or coaching
  • Provides Store Manager with feedback and assists the Manager in developing action plans, supporting Monthly coaching sessions and providing training and coaching for consultative selling associates to address sales performance, reduce sales-related expenses
  • Ensures that the department is Ready All Day - easy to shop, in-stock, clean, signed and organized for customers
  • Accompanies the Store Manager during the weekly business review to assist in identifying areas of opportunity and developing action plans for improving the department’s performance
  • Assists Store Manager as directed with communications to associates about upcoming events, product updates, selling process requirements and Company/business initiatives
  • Assists in resolving customer issues and complaints; escalates issues to Store Manager as necessary

  • Performs store opening and closing activities
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned, including Customer on Duty
