PURPOSE: Responsible for transporting raw material from assigned customer stops to assigned destinations using heavy or tractor-trailer trucks. Must ensure vehicle and equipment is used following DOT regulations and Company policy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Be a professional, courteous driver at all times. Efficiently pick up and deliver material while safely operating a commercial vehicle, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states. Includes loading and unloading material as needed. Perform pre and post-trip inspections as required by DOT regulation and Company policy. Must keep equipment clean and properly functioning. Use on-board recording system, with a high level of accuracy. Notify supervisor immediately of any and all accidents per Company policy. Notify supervisor as soon as possible of any personal or professional traffic violations or accidents. Contact supervisor/manager of all overweight trailers before leaving customer property. Must be able to roll barrels and operate pumping equipment. QUALIFICATIONS: Class A CDL A license with a tanker endorsement. Must be able to read and write Must have basic math skills for calculating weights correctly Minimum one year commercial driving experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited truck driving school. Good driving history/work record. No motor vehicle violations or accidents within the last 12 months. Great communication skills. Ability to analyze a situation and pursue an effective course of action that takes care of the customer and protects the interests of the Company. Ability to climb and work at heights of 20+ feet with proper PPE. Ability to work under stressful situations with calm manner. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physically demanding job. Lifting lids, pulling hoses. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Work mostly outdoors. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Wet, cold, hot, and dirty environment.
