Facilities Director - Full-time / Part-time

The Facilities Director is responsible for repairing and maintaining all things pertaining to the equipment, the building, and the grounds of the restaurant.

Requirements

• Management ServSafe Certification (certificate expected within 30 days of position acceptance)
• Minimum education experience: some college
• Experience: preferred, but not absolute

Responsibilities

• Opening/Closing the restaurant (frequency based on current number of Directors)
• Weekly meetings with the Business Director:
  • Set and track goals
  • Discuss budget considerations
• Creating and following a Maintenance Calendar, to help reduce the number of repairs needed
• Attempting to repair all broken equipment
  • In the case that a repair cannot be completed by the Facilities Director, the correct vendor should be notified so that the repair can be completed in a timely fashion
• Maintaining indoor and outdoor lighting
• Surveying the parking lot and grounds daily for any maintenance issues
• Ensuring compliance in regards to the Safety ROE (Restaurant Operations Evaluation)
• Ensuring that the cage and dumpster areas are getting pressure-washed once a week
• Ensuring that the restaurant’s appearance is impeccable
  • Paint in the Dining Room
  • All seals around counters/sinks
  • Etc.
• Waste control
• Responding to any alarms that occur during non-business hours
• Any other tasks related to your area deemed necessary by the Operator or Board

In addition to the above, it is important to remember that the basic running of the restaurant is vital and may super-cede maintenance responsibilities. Please be prepared to allow for that flexibility in your day-to-day operations.
