Summary:

The Picnic Catering Sales Manager is responsible for handling all food & beverage sales relating to event reservations in any and all of Frontier Field's five picnic venues.

This is a SEASONAL position starting on or around March 1, 2018 and ending on or around September 7, 2018.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting and facilitating all events booked by the Catering, Group Sales, and Marketing departments.

• Assist with daily operations to include: Completing daily reports, opening and/or closing duties, menu development, health and sanitation and assist staff with customers as needed to maintain service standards.

• Contacting the sales team and customers in advance to confirm all details related to the event and assist the team in facilitating plans and fully responding to day of requests.

• Promoting and providing exceptional customer service within each picnic venue.

• Effectively communicating details of each event to all necessary departments to ensure success.

• Ensuring courteous, professional, sincere, and responsive communications with all customers.

• Completing clerical and administrative tasks as necessary.

• Performing light physical work required to set up events. Extensive walking is typically required.

• General knowledge negotiating contracts, procuring vendors/subcontractors, conceptualizing and implementing small and large scale events, food and beverage processes, and driving the overall customer experience.

 

***Qualified applicants must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize their customer services and sales skills to retain existing clients and to grow new group and hospitality client base. Previous sales and hospitality experience REQUIRED. Previous knowledge of FileMaker Pro and Quest Venue Manager preferred. Previous experience working in an entertainment, sports, or a similar environment preferred. MUST be willing to work long hours and an unusual schedule. Weekends required.
