Express Birmingham South is hiring an experienced Installation Tech that will be installing Direct TV services in the Birmingham areas.

Positions pays $12.50 an hour
Requirements:
- MUST SUPPLY OWN VEHICLE (will need to keep track of mileage – reimbursement for gas worked into pay)
- Broadband experience a huge plus
- SBCA certification is a plus!
- Have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Be able to take and pass certifications testing at an off-site facility
- Need the ability to communicate with customers, ability to work with hand tools, and ability to work independently. Will be working in the field directly with customers and must be able to drive a vehicle, lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors, use hand tools, and work in attics and/or crawl spaces.
- Able to work Monday or Tuesday – Saturday, 8 AM – Until (usually 5 PM or 6 PM). Will rotate weekends on-call.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan installations by evaluating location; locating line of sight; laying-out equipment and wiring plan.
- Establish satellite system by installing dish; running and pulling cable; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
- Verify system by testing equipment and connections; identifying and correcting problems.
- Activate the customer's service and incorporate customer's existing equipment
- Communicate with the customer and ensure that the customer thoroughly understands how to work the system.
