Developing and supporting the entire application data pipeline from ingestion until handoff to the BI Engineering and Data Analytics teams.

Description

An HDQC Senior Software Engineer is an experienced software engineer.  All software engineers are expected to write well designed, testable, and efficient code and to demonstrate work ethic that motivates and encourages others on their team. Software engineers are encouraged to bring fresh ideas, new perspectives, and an eagerness to learn new technologies.

 Experience:

  • Build robust, high-quality data processes that support our application users
  • Modeling data for integrity and performance
  • Schema management and definition
  • Implementing data patterns and tools to present users their data correctly, accurately, and efficiently throughout the platform

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Define, plan and implement solutions on assigned moderately complex projects.
Take business requirements and develop the total technical design on moderately complex projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production.
Conduct appropriate test reviews for assigned projects and present to architecture review boards as necessary.
Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards.
Provide technical direction to associate developers, developers and contractors.

Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology
Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
