Food importer located in Queens, NY seeks an experienced Import Manager.
The incumbent MUST be fluent in Hindi and English.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a related role required. Experience in food and beverage a big plus.
Main functions include but not limited to:
- Oversees coordination with shippers, consignees, truckers and airlines for the Import department
- Ensure that processing of all documentation including AWB, MAWB, invoicing, certificate of origin and Import declaration, if required are properly done
- Ensure maximum profitability by overseeing cost effective rates negotiation with service providers
