Job Overview:
As a Light Show Usher, you will be an integral part of a Philadelphia tradition and help bring the magic of Macy's to life during the fast-paced holiday season.
Essential Functions:
• Direct guests for Macy's Christmas Light Show
• Keep main floor aisles clear for traffic flow
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain a cheerful disposition
• Perform other duties as needed
• Dependable & punctuality
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• Crowd control experience with both adults and children required
• Customer service experience required
• Acting experience preferred
Communication Skills:
• Knowledge of a second language helpful
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with and direct children
Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Reasoning Ability:
• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Present a professional image consistent with Macy's brand values
Physical Demands:
• May involve prolonged standing and walking
• May involve lifting heavy objects 30lbs+
Other Skills:
• Effective communicator
• Leadership
• Customer Service
• Punctuality
• Cheerful and enthusiastic disposition
• Ability to engage and entertain children
Work Hours
• Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours which may include day, evening, weekends and/or holidays or sales events depending on business needs
