About this job

Position Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the daily activities of hourly associates on the sales floor to ensure each department is achieving sales budget and providing a safe shopping environment. Department Managers also train, coach and develop associates in each department to ensure customers receive excellent customer service and all the items necessary to complete their project. In addition to these daily activities Department Managers provide valuable input to the Store Management and Operations Team around merchandising decisions by completing competitive price shops and listening to our Customer and Team.

Job Requirements

  • Successful candidates will possess the following:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' experience in retail sales Management
  • Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, training and coaching
  • Physical lifting required up to 50 lbs.
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish speaking a plus but not required
