Staffmark is seeking a Compliance/Sanctions Analyst to assist in the day-to-day operations of the compliance department. This person will have excellent attention to detail and be familiar with risk analysis and legal requirements. This position is critical in meeting and complying with government regulations and avoiding daily risks.
Primary responsibilities include screening customers against OFAC SDN, PEP and other lists to identify terrorists, drug dealers, and known or suspected money launderers.
First Shift: 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:
Ensure timely resolution of alerts and determine whether supporting documentation received is sufficient to validate resolution of alert
Daily reporting to management and compliance officers
Lookback projects
Adhere to processes and procedures and recommend changes when needed
Ensure appropriate documentation
Audit projects as requested
Adhere to SLAs
Additional tasks when needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or 1 to 3 years relevant banking or compliance experience
Ability to comprehend and adhere to Federal and State banking regulations, Company policies and procedures.
Candidate must have strong written/verbal communication, leadership, solid high volume processing and analytical skills with the ability to work independently on multiple assignments in a deadline driven, regulatory environment
Strong PC skills including but not limited to Windows 2013 or higher, Microsoft Word, Excel.
Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail
AML/OFAC or Compliance experience highly desirable
Self-reliance and willingness to "own" problems and creatively find solutions
Spanish speaking preferred, but not required
