We are looking for a motivated front-end developer intern to write high -- quality, high performance, and maintainable front-end code while focusing on scalability, security, cross-browser compatibility, web standards, interoperability, and accessibility. We want the highest levels of technical talent and programming skills, as well as a keen desire to deeply understand our products and services to push our technology forward. You'll work alongside the best and the brightest engineering talent in the industry. As a core participant of your team, you'll estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues. You need to be dynamic, collaborative, and curious as we build new experiences, improve existing products, and develop distributed systems powering the world's largest e-commerce websites at a scale few companies can match. You are: -Insightful. Be able to evaluate user needs and desires, and translate those into viable designs and products -Resourceful. Have the ability to do a lot with a little. Be able to aggregate information from various places and build relationships with key stakeholders to get the information you need -Tech Savvy. Master your tools, and continue to expand your systems knowledge through formal or informal research and training. We need: -UI expertise. Know design, know what users are looking for, and know how to bring that to life -Programming. Be proficient with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JQuery, AngularJS and/or JS Frameworks. -A go-getter. Take on new opportunities, don't shy away from challenges, and bring energy and enthusiasm to the office every day. Basic Qualifications -Currently enrolled in a college or university and pursuing an Associate's of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major -Strong applied experience. You've built, broken, and rebuilt software applications -Creative thinker who knows how to create real-world products -Proficiency in programming languages including: Java, Python, C++ -Experience using NodeJS, Javascript, CSS and HTML -Available to work in one of the following locations: -San Jose, CA -San Francisco, CA -Brisbane, CA -Bellevue, WA -Portland, OR -New York, NY is a Subsidiary of eBay.
