About this job

This position reports to the Assistant Audit Director and, is responsible for performing financial, operational and compliance audits of the Corporation's activities, and assisting with special projects and special investigations. Preparing work papers reflecting the results of audit assignments. Communicating results to appropriate management, including the preparation of audit reports that communicate audit results to management in a clear, concise and substantive manner. This position supports the Audit director with: development and execution of a comprehensive and risk-based audit plan. Supervises assigned auditors and ensures that audit results are of high quality. Continuously analyzes internal audit processes and seeks opportunities to improve audit methodologies and effectiveness. Additionally, the position is responsible for any other duties as assigned.

Support
  • Clearly communicates audit results and obtains management support for recommendations made.
  • Supervises assigned staff auditors (if any).
Influence
  • Stay knowledgeable on current company policies and procedures, accounting guidelines, regulatory compliance as well as audit guidelines and procedures.
  • Develop working relationships with various operations management personnel within the assigned areas.
Drive
  • Complete audits/ projects in a timely manner and high quality fashion.
  • Provide support to corporate and field audit in meeting annual audit plan.
  • Display a willingness to take on new and different projects as needed.
Manage
  • Analyze and interpret diverse and complex information, and make sound improvement recommendations based upon that information.
  • Perform comprehensive risk assessments and adjust work plans based on the results of the assessment.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and take initiative to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Manage time effectively to complete projects as scheduled.
Maintain
  • Maintain strong relationship with audit clients.
  • Adhere to all points of the Company creed.

Equivalent Education Level Required: BA/BS - Accounting or Finance


Experience Required: Five years audit experience in internal audit or public accounting


Knowledge Required: Excellent written and verbal communications skills as would be needed to communicate in person, by phone, and through email; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply information. Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products. Ability to develop and maintain business relationships. Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing. Strong knowledge of risk and control assessment processes. Ability to analyze and interpret diverse and complex information, and make sound improvement recommendations based on the information. Effective supervisory skills.

Physical Requirements: Sitting for long periods of time; standing occasionally; walking; bending; squatting; kneeling; pushing/pulling; reaching; twisting; frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.; driving and having access during the workday to an insured and reliable transportation; typing; data entry; grasping; transferring items between hands and/or to another person or receptacle; use of office equipment to include computers; ability to travel to, be physically present at, and complete the physical requirements of the position at any assigned location.
