About this job

This temporary position reports to the Warehouse Manager and supports corporate IT assets inventory control, troubleshooting, and repair. Provides end user support, help desk IT asset support and training. Maintain large working inventory of various IT assets through timely stocking, repairs and coordination of shipping and receiving. The anitcipated duration of this position is between 6-12 months.

Support:
  • Monitor and resolve Center IT hardware problems using Cherwell Call Logging Software and devices web-interface ensuring that service levels are met.
  • Provide training support to users and helpdesk personnel for various IT devices located in the field.
  • Provide support for various corporate IT project initiatives.
Maintain:
  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of IT assets.
  • Coordinate IT asset replacement and returns with Center personnel.
  • Manage shipping and receiving of warehouse IT asset inventory.
  • Maintain and update the corporate IT Asset Management tracking system as applicable.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Equivalent Education Level Required: High School Diploma or equivalent


Experience Required: 1-2 years of customer service experience. 1-2 years of PC or printer hardware experience.


Knowledge Required: Ability to diagnose, identify and repair monochrome laser jet printer problems. Working knowledge of Active Directory. Persistence in seeking resolutions in a timely and effective manner. Experience with using an enterprise break/fix ticketing system. Knowledgeable in the setup of networked and dedicated printers, laptops, desktops, scanners and multi-functional fax machines along with a detailed knowledge of static IP addressing, subnet masks and gateways. Familiar with shipping and receiving and updating asset tracking system. Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills needed to communicate in person, by phone, and through email. Adaptability and flexibility to changing environment, and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply information. Ability to interact professionally and exhibit appropriate social skills. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.


Physical Requirements: Walking; bending; squatting; kneeling; pushing/pulling; reaching; twisting; frequent lifting of less than 45 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 60 lbs. Typing; data entry; grasping; transferring items between hands and/or to another person or receptacle; Ability to work extended hours, split shifts, and/or weekends when required by business need.


Overtime: As required by business need; heavy overtime anticipated during significant company initiatives involving equipment deployment.


Travel: Local only, 10%. Ability to travel to, be physically present at, and complete the physical requirements of the position at any assigned location.


Attire: Casual (as required by company standards).
