Overview

Provide world class hospitality, service and Food & Beverage products to guests who attend events and shows at the Grand Ole Opry House, Opry Plaza and Ryman Auditorium. Duties are specified in the SST and include proper food preparation, proper inventory, display and serving practices, providing a clean facility, proper cash handling procedures and assistance with emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, following proper food handling and storage as required by health regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly food service environment both during operation and at the end of the shift, following sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies, focusing on both public areas and back of house. Assist with proper rotation of food items on display, always ensuring the display is visually pleasing and high quality products are served.
  • Assist with inventories both during and following events, product rotation and date labeling to ensure fresh products are readily available for preparation.
  • Employees who meet legal age requirements may sell beer, which requires adhering to proper procedures as required by law, including, but not limited to, verifying ID for age verification of legal drinking age before serving, and prevention of alcohol consumption by guests who are intoxicated. Employees with an ABC card may serve as a bartender, adhering to proper procedures including in ABC training, not limited to, but including those listed above for beer service.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures including proper operation of POS terminals/cash registers and accurate coding of cash bags. Responsible for balancing at the end of shift.
  • Responsible for trash pick-up of the auditorium between and after shows as required by the event.
  • Provide the management team guest feedback on both service and products.
  • Provide information to guests about Ryman Hospitality properties, the Nashville area and the current or upcoming events.
  • Provide world class service and hospitality utilizing the Ryman Hospitality Service Basic tools.
  • Assist with emergencies and emergency evacuation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months customer service experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
  • ABC card required for bartenders
