ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Load film on unwinds, line up correctly, and properly splice the roll
• Responsible for mixing adhesive to be used in the coating process.
• Must be able to read and interpret adhesive formulas, which includes:  laying out proper chemicals to mix, following instructions on formula, etc. 
• Responsible for mixing and checking release coating placed on jumbos.
• Break down film skids and carefully lay out rolls of backing for production
• Assist operator in unloading coated jumbo from rewind end of machine
• Assist operator in threading up machine, cleaning rollers and ensuring proper operation of machine
• Set up material for next shift and communicate with them to ensure smooth transfer
• Must have the ability to safely operate a tow motor
• Must be able to maintain accurate records by the use of basic math and reading/writing skills
• Keep work area and chemical room free from obstruction
• Safely use utility knife
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisoMaintain acceptable housekeeping standards

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Duties are performed in manufacturing plant environment. (hot, dusty)
• Must be able to lift up to but not limited to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend/stoop, push and pull
• Must be able to read, write, basic math skills and follow instructions
• Occasional overtime or irregular hours / swing shift hours
• Must be able to wear hearing protection
• Must be able to wear a half mask respirator
