Commercial Kitchen Position - Part-time

PART-TIME KITCHEN MANAGER NEEDED!

Cadeau Confections is a new, small company that specializes in producing decadent, toffee and other toffee-related chocolates and products - yum! We are located in a rented commercial kitchen in Pearland, TX.

We are looking for an individual who is willing to complete a variety of tasks in the kitchen, learn on the job, and work according to our company's high standards. This individual will help prep, cook, and package our products, and grow this new, exciting company!

Job Description:

• Part-time (~15-20 hr/week)
• The position requires availability on Mondays through Wednesdays (and some Sundays as we near the holiday season) during the day
• Shifts are typically between 8am and 2pm

Responsibilities:

• Supervise employees and kitchen workflow
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
• Make and package toffee and other confections
• Manage inventory
• Clean up (e.g., washing pots/pans, sweeping)

Qualifications:

• Friendly, enthusiastic, and comfortable learning new tasks
• Able to work safely and efficiently
• Able to carry heavy pots
• Food preparation/culinary experience preferred
• Must be available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and some Sundays during the day
• Must have a good sense of humor, we love what we do!

Required License or Certification:

• Current Food Manager Certification or Food Handler Certification - a copy of the certification will be requested to accompany your application

Rate:

• $11.00 to $13.00 /hour (depending on experience)
