Project Manager, Sears

The Mgr, Project Management develops and applies Project Management processes in the execution of projects. This position works as the primary contact with stakeholders on new project requests. This position works with stakeholders to estimate and schedule project work based on delivery requested dates, resource capacity and scope. This position provides regular project status updates including revisions to schedules, resource allocation, risks and delivery dates to project teams as well as management.

• Monitors project budgets, communicates issues to department management in a timely manner, monitors the quality specification within projects/departments, and liaises with client on project related matters.

• Partners with stakeholders to drive program strategy.

• Monitors team members, activities, milestones, roadmaps and funding.

• Tracks and monitors projects, activities, milestones, timelines and deliverables of staff members, to ensure that all project-related tasks are performed.

• Assists individual project managers in creating detailed project work plans and assign tasks to team members

• Helps to mentor junior project managers

• Works closely with practice leads and/or managers to ensure a high level of quality

• Keeps senior management informed of project status in relation to both quality and timeliness and liaises with other managers/directors to improve the effectiveness of the organization

• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately

• Participates in high-level project planning and roadmap sessions

• Forecasts upcoming project work by resources and hours.

• Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates.
