Facilities Maintenance Specialist (Bronx, NY) - Full-time

Job Summary The Quality Maintenance Technician I (QMTI) will provide unit level support for maintenance and safety standards, to include the performance of Preventative Maintenance Checks (PMs) as Assigned, in Full Line Stores (FLS), KMart and off-mall stores The QMTI will work in conjunction the Quality Maintenance Technician II (QMT) as requested. QMTIs are expected to perform basic maintenance and housekeeping tasks in order to maintain the interior and exterior of the building. The QMTI assists the store in maintaining the standards and disciplines needed to impact energy usage. The QMTI may be assigned to one (1) store or a group of stores. The person seeking this position must have a mechanical aptitude, be a self-starter, and have the ability to work with limited supervision. Local travel is required with occasional overnight travel in remote areas of the country. This position reports to the District Facilities Manager (DFM). Responsibilities *ï€Maintain interior of building- Flooring, plumbing, paint, patch and misc. repairs *ï€Maintain exterior of building, sidewalk maintenance, parking lot maintenance, painting, power washing, parking lot restriping *ï€Replace filters and light bulbs as requested *ï€Maintain store equipment- Kiosks, baler, compactor, shopping carts *ï€Maintain lighting and plumbing equipment- light bulb changes not requiring electrical knowledge, sinks, faucets etc. *ï€Perform PM checks as assigned *ï€Identify opportunities to impact Energy Consumption *ï€Assist as needed with misc. duties

Skill/Experience Requirements *ï€Basic knowledge of Carpentry, masonry and painting *ï€Ability to utilize Equipment to perform maintenance tasks- ladders-tools-power washers *ï€Basic computer and communication skills *ï€Perform administrative duties utilizing the Sears Maintenance and Repair Ticket (SMART) system *ï€Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions *ï€Valid Drivers License
