Staffmark's Professional Services Group is partnering with one of the areas financial Services groups in an effrot to identify candidates for an Inside Sales/Account Manager role. This person will be tasked with identifying potential clients and spreading the message of all the servvce offerings that are provided.
Position Summary/Objective:
This position is responsible for the prospecting of new clients and soliciting new sales opportunities, in conjunction with New Business Development Manager and Account Managers. Revenue generation and client satisfaction are achieved by working with support teams, coordinating with marketing programs, maintaining good networking relationships, and always acting in a way that portrays our culture and values.
Expectations:
A. Generate sales-ready prospects and leads
B. Maintain CRM and provide research support for meetings
C. Assist in marketing efforts
D. Utilize strong time management and organizational skills
Measurements:
A. Number of meetings set where business is closed
Summary of Responsibilities:
A. Generate sales-ready prospects and leads
1. Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads. These contacts will be either cold phone calls or via email to schedule calls and generate leads
2. Research and develop lists of potential clients, utilizing internet, CRM, etc.
3. Qualify opportunities by understanding client needs, budgets, decision making, and competitive product via a consultative sales methodology
4. Overcome competitive sales objections/position product against competition and client needs
5. Follow-up on leads, as well as answer questions, interfacing with various internal resources to obtain needed information
6. Adapt sales approach or solution to accommodate the client versus force fit the client to an existing model
7. Establish rapport and concentrate on building a trusting relationship with prospects
8. After researching and qualifying prospects, set appointments for sales team
9. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual goals
B. Maintain CRM and provide research support for meetings
1. Inform and educate BD on target/contact -- pass information critical to successful meetings
2. Consistent communication with business development and indirect sales to develop strategy
3. Coordinate with business manager on CRM input, reporting, and issues as needed
4. Utilize 10-K, company history, competitors, audit issues
5. Track and sync calendars
C. Assist in marketing efforts
1. Provide input and aid in the development of new marketing plans to generate additional business
2. Distribute marketing target material as needed
3. Provide feedback from market assessment and industry research to sales team
D. Utilize strong time management and organizational skills
1. Prioritize and follow through on issues
2. Create reports for management on a timely basis
3. Maintain and update internal systems daily
4. Present progress weekly, monthly, quarterly, and update annually
Qualifications:
1. College Degree or work equivalent
2. 5+ years sales experience
3. Experience with financial mergers and acquisitions a plus
Work Skills:
1. Written communication skills -- Writing must be concise, organized and clear
2. Verbal Communication skills - Convey ideas persuasively; either speaking spontaneously or in a prepared presentation
3. Data skills: Must be proficient in compiling, analyzing, comparing, coordinating, and reporting data
4. Highly skilled with people: persuading, communicating, serving and leading
5. Team player that relates and works well with clients and employees
6. Readily adjusts to rapid changes in technology, products and the marketplace
7. Demonstrates business acumen, consultative selling skills, and understands value based selling
8. Basic skills in computer operations and mathematical calculations
