POSITION PURPOSE
The Sr. Manager Associate Services maximizes The Home Depot's competitive business advantage by providing expertise and leadership to ensure a fully integrated health management solution that sets the standard for excellence, enhances the quality of life for The Home Depot community, and enables our associates to optimize performance and productivity. The Sr. Manager manages complex associate situations that impact organizational and individual safety, associate health and well-being, and at times public relations. The incumbent would be the primary contact for the field and SSC HR organization and operational leaders for all behavioral health and substance abuse issues; including assessments and return to work programs, crisis response and stress management resources.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Coaches and guides internal HR and AR professionals with respect to managing complex associate behavioral health and substance abuse concerns, threats of violence and drug-free workplace issues. Also manages the THD Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program, ensuring SOP, and protocols are followed internally and externally.
-Develops and implements processes and procedures for working with Divisional HR partners, the AACG, and Operational leaders on all issues related to behavioral health and wellness. Provides high-quality services that support and enhance the company's efforts to create a healthy and productive workforce.
-Crisis Incident Response ? In partnership with HR and the field organization recommend the most effective strategy to respond to a workplace critical incident. Determine when, or if, to provide onsite critical incident stress management services and the most appropriate format
-Threats of Violence - Provide the expertise to mitigate and respond to potential threats of Violence in the Workplace in conjunction with the Corporate WPV team. Recommend professional risk assessments when appropriate and work with vendor to ensure timely completion of evaluations and delivery of feedback.
-Develop strategies for increasing utilization of the EAP. Collaborate with vendor in developing targeted marketing materials. Work to coordinate EAP resources and services with other Benefit and Wellness programs to provide an integrated approach to achieving corporate goals.
-Manage dedicated EAP & work/life vendor team, including development of training and metrics. Ensure that department strategies are aligned with the vendor. Work with vendor to develop Service Level Agreements and hold vendor partners accountable for meeting performance expectations.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Additional Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or other related field. 
  • Related experience managing vendors, specifically EAP vendors. 
  • Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) certification
  • Corporate project management experience is highly desirable. 
  • Case Management Software experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Proficiency with data analysis in spreadsheet and database formats. 
  • Ability to handle multitasking in high-stress environments. 
  • Comfortability with public speaking and training facilitation.
