Basic Function

To answer in-bound phone calls while working from your home. To assist our guests in a courteous and professional manner in all related functions of the Drury Inn Reservation Center. To maintain a high standard of service and hospitality at all times. To maximize revenue for the Drury Inn System.

Job Duties

* Provide courteous Guest service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and booking of reservations.

* Uses suggestive selling skills, using the Drury Spirit as described, and company sales programs to maximize revenue.

* Processes reservations, changes and cancellations in an efficient and accurate manner, using the computer terminal.

* Uses professional telephone etiquette.

* Has knowledge of current marketing programs, special rates and promotions applicable to hotels.

* Attends and participates in scheduled meetings.

* Uses established reservation procedures and follows all policies in effect.

* Performs other duties as required or assigned

Requires ability to take written and verbal direction.

Requires ability to relate to the public in a warm, friendly, and professional manner by creating a hospitable environment.

Requires attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.

Requires thorough knowledge of Drury Inns policies and procedures for Guest service.

Requires ability to operate a computer, navigate multiple programs and screens quickly and accurately while talking to our guests via a headset.

Requires ability to work independently.

Requires reliability and dependability.

Mental and Physical Requirements

EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four years of high school and at least 18 years of age.

EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience working with the public in a service industry.

PHYSICAL SKILLS: Requires ability to work in a seated position for a period of eight hours. Ability to hear using a headset. Ability to read a computer screen and operate a computer for an extended period of time. Must have accurate typing skills. Ability to transport computer equipment from the call center in Cape Girardeau, MO and your home as needed for setup and repairs.

Working Relationships

Reports to Manager, National Call Center.

Coordinates and cooperates with other Call Center Management, Call Center team members, and hotel personnel.

Candidates must provide:

* Wired high speed internet access of at least 60 mbps download and 4 mbps upload (internet service fees and installation are not reimbursable expenses).

* Quiet, well-lit, smoke free, secure workspace in primary residence.

* Approved desk (no folding tables)

* Approved chair that can be adjusted for chair height and arm position.

* Smart phone usage for logon process.

* Homeowners/renters insurance for coverage of computer and all other equipment provided.

Drury Hotels provides:

* Computer

* 2 monitors

* Phone

* Headset

* Office Software

* Battery Backup

* Basic office supplies such as web camera, shredder, wrist and mouse pads

Schedule Option 1: Set Schedule Evenings with one weekend day. Team member would be assigned specific days and hours between 4pm to 1am that would be consistent from one week to the next. Both full time and part time schedules are available, the number of available set schedules are limited, and each choice starts at our base hourly wage.

Schedule Option 2: Full Flexibility Evenings with one weekend day. Team member must be available to be scheduled for a shift up to 8 hours anytime between 1pm and 1am on any day of the week, but working only one weekend day. Schedule will vary from one week to the next. This option can be both part time and full time (16 up to 40 hours/week) and provides an additional pay of $.75 per hour on top of the base hourly wage.

Schedule Option 3: Full Flexibility Evenings working both weekend days. Team member must be available to be scheduled for a shift up to 8 hours anytime between 1pm and 1am on any day of the week with the understanding they will be scheduled every Saturday and every Sunday. Schedule will vary from one week to the next. This option can be both part time and full time (16 up to 40 hours/week) and provides additional pay of $1.25 per hour on top of the base hourly wage.

BONUS PAY FOR SPANISH SKILLS: Add $1.00/hour to any of these schedule options if fluent in both English and Spanish (testing required).

All Training will be conducted at the National Call Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and will require some extra flexibility. Training could be scheduled outside your normal scheduled days and hours and could take up to 3 weeks to complete.
