Job Description:

The Sales District Leader Designate role is designed as a 12+ month leadership training program. As a Sales District Leader Designate, you will receive a customized on-boarding plan to assimilate and develop the necessary skillset in preparation for a Sales District Leader position. You will learn the Frito Lay Route Sales System and you will gain exposure to the key players and functions across the Region Business Team. The formalized training program for this position involves 4-6 months of route level work to learn the foundation of the business and develop an understanding of our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) network and supply chain. The job is in a physical work environment with varying length of work days/schedule.

Upon completion of the training program, you will be promoted to a District Sales Leader, where you will have responsibility for all aspects of managing a sales district comprised of 10-25 Route Sales Representatives (RSR's). Each Sales District Leader leads a $5-15 Million dollar business. You will be responsible for administrative and technical support, as well as facilitating information to your team. It is imperative that candidates have strong leadership skills, communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment.

* Successfully complete all activities included in the Sales District Leader Designate training program

* Successfully interact with customers (store management) and effectively sell in/execute sales programs and initiatives

* Lead district meetings focused on a plan to achieve sales objectives and goals

Conduct one-with-one meetings and "work withs" with RSR's to discuss performance, selling and customer service skills

* Coach RSR's to successfully sell against baseline and promotional opportunities

* Collect and interpret statistical data utilizing PepsiCo specific applications

* Partner with product supply team to create accurate forecasts based on promotions and historical performance to ensure product availability

* Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers as required

Education and Certifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, preferred.

* Class C Driver's License and clear driving record for past 3 years

* Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and/or certification may also be required

Work Experience:

* Demonstrated leadership ability

* Must have 3-5 years of prior related experience, preferably in Food /Beverage, DSD/Retail, etc

* Prior Direct Management Experience leading a team of people

Skills & Capabilities:

* District Sales Leader- Designates participate in an extended training program and may be required to fill in on a sales route, loading product, delivery and stocking in various customer venues.

* Good physical condition with the ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop and kneel

* Highly motivated self- starter skilled at leading people and managing financial results

* Authorized to work in United States on a permanent basis

* Must be 21 years of age or older

* Must pass a drug screen and background investigation
