Position Title: Design Technician

Position Description

KBR is seeking a Design Technician. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Design and drafting piping and mechanical systems for projects in the chemical process, power, and pulp and paper industries. Reports to the lead discipline engineer on assigned projects. Duties will include design and drafting of piping systems using both 2D CAD and 3D CAD. The design technician shall have the ability to complete assignments within assigned budget and schedule. Periodic travel to plant sites is required in this position.

Requirements

* Minimum of 2 years of drafting and design experience with 2 to 5 years preferred. The design technician shall be proficient with CAD drafting of piping and mechanical systems using Autocad. 3D design experience is a plus. A two year drafting or design technology degree (or equivalent training) is preferred.
