About this job

Currently seeking candidates to fill Wire Harness Assembler positions. This is a fantastic direct hire opportunity with a growing company that offers a solid benefit package, PTO, Vacation, Daylight Hours and other great perks!
This position is responsible for electromechanical assembly and in process testing/inspection of products in compliance with IPC 620B Standard requirements.

The successful candidates will meet or exceed the following job requirements:
  • Diploma from a technical institution or one year of relevant work experience is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of wire preparation. This includes wire cutting (specific lengths), wire striping and wire terminating (installing terminals on ends of wire)
  • Must have excellent soldering skills for electronic and electrical components.
  • Certification or Training to IPC/WHMA standard 620A "Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies", is highly desirable.
  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and work from these documents
  • Working knowledge of power and non-power hand tools such as a drill press, metal cutting devices, drill, rivet gun, screw driver, tape measure, etc.
  • Experience with resistance, hi-pot, continuity and computerized testing using tools such as a DVM/DMM (digital volt meter / digital multi meter)
  • Able to measure in both English and metric units and be able to convert back and forth between the two 'on the fly'
  • Knowledge of piston engine functions and design, diesel and gas, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word is desirable
