Primary Function: Reporting to the Director of Engineering Support, the Assembly Technician Supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, leading and evaluating assigned laboratory operations and performance. This position requires attention and adherence to laboratory quality requirements, support of quality initiatives, teamwork, professionalism and demonstrated work ethic. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with their team, their manager, and other departments. Motivate team for success and provide a leadership style that encourages professionalism, development and foster team spirit within the department.    Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:    Provide daily support and direction to laboratory staff in performing daily laboratory tasks. Have attention to detail and support quality control measures; maintain safety and regulatory compliance in the lab. Strategically manage the scheduling of direct reports to accommodate production needs, attend scheduling meetings and stay informed of the goals, constraints and changes regarding production. Coordinate, construct and test prototypes consistent with engineering and other specifications through light mechanical assembly, point to point electrical wiring, soldering, and wire harness assembly. Design and build proof of concept devices using a variety of pneumatics, sensors, motors, cameras, etc. Assist other departments as assigned on special projects, performing testing, and providing reports. Support and drive updates and revisions to department documents. Maintain a clean and safe work environment including tools and assembly areas. Be a team player, versatile, and organized within a highly active work environment; adaptability is a must!    Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) H.S. Diploma or GED required – minimum 7 years of experience required. Process-driven: highly detailed and organized with ability to manage projects, tasks and time well. Strong computer literacy skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, basic file structure understanding, and networks. Working knowledge of MS Office productivity tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong ability to read COMPLEX schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical prints required. Strictly follow engineering directions or procedures required. Experience with the use of Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Power supplies and other typical Electronics/Electrical Lab equipment.  Soldering experience including surface mount and fine pitch components. Detail oriented with a focus on quality, execution and follow through.  Hands on prototyping skills and mechanical aptitude required; familiarity with GD&T a plus. Why Kelly®?
