Scale Clerk - Truck Scheduler

Scale Clerk - Truck Scheduler – Deer Park, Texas Short-term contract assignment onsite with top petro-chemical company. Position has the possibility of going to a long-term indefinite contract assignment. Ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience and willing to learn SAP. Strong initiative, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills will be essential. Must be able to work weekly rotating schedule that includes 3 shifts: Wk 1 Day shift 7am-3pm – Mon-Fri Wk 2 Evening shift 2pm-10pm – Mon-Fri Wk 3 Split shift 7am-3pm Mon-Tues, 7am-7pm Sat & Sun Primary Job responsibilities include: Truck Check-in, which may include the following: Verifying carrier order information is correct. Verify driver s safety orientation - Working in SAP Recording truck arrival time in SAP Record carrier information, i.e. trailer number, in SAP. Initiate shipment in LIMS - Print sample tags and loading information Calculate innage for loading print product tags. Weigh truck in. Direct carrier to loading area. Truck Check-out, which may include the following: Weigh truck out. Verify weight is amount ordered If light, send back for additional product based on site direction If heavy, send back to have some removed based on site direction NOTE: Do not ship a truck that is overweight based on local laws. Verify information on load sheet from loader is correct. Obtain lab release and print Certificate of Analysis Record departure time in SAP and do goods issue. Print appropriate shipping papers and release truck Normal day-to-day transactions: Will include batch creation and allocation in SAP Use of Site Logistics tools to book and schedule truck orders. Back-up to the Scheduler/Exception Manager. Work with carriers and customer service to meet customer needs Contact carriers to send driver for preload pickups Requirements: High School Diploma/GED Excellent Customer Service experience Strong initiative, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills will be essential Proficient with Microsoft programs (Excel and Outlook) Why Kelly®?At Kelly Services®, we work with the best.
