Job DescriptionThe Material Handler piles off stacks of signature bricks, piling them by layers on a load, or insures that logs of signatures are properly placed on a load, as required by the packaging instructions. RequirementsJob functions: know what lot or version is running and insure each is placed onto appropriate load; inspect quality and remove defective product not meeting quality standards; count and maintain exact lift counts when required; pile off on pallets or pack into counts when required; able to follow and maintain piling diagrams; seal cartons and pile on pallet; maintain uniform and properly piled loads; operate strappers, tiers, stackers or other related equipment; assist during down time as directed by team lead; clear choke-ups and jams or minimize possibility of choke-ups and jams as directed by team lead; sort for quality; separate rejected signatures; repair signatures; keep work area clean; assist in training; perform tasks assigned by team lead; relieve fellow crew members for breaks/lunch; handle pallets, tops and related material handling supplies.HighlightsPossible temp to hire
